The Synology Virtual Machine Manager Pro License allows you to fully utilize the Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) cluster infrastructure. It enables migration and flexible scalability for load balancing and resource allocation. This VMM comes in a 3-node cluster that is valid for one year and offers various options to satisfy a variety of needs. Before purchasing this license, please check the compatibility of your NAS with VMM. Please note that this license can only be applied to one VMM at a time. Purchased licenses can be migrated.
Designed for small offices and home users, the DiskStation DS118 1-Bay NAS Enclosure from Synology allows users to share and synchronize files across multiple devices and public cloud storage services from virtually anywhere, while also helping to boost work productivity, enhance team collaboration, and transcode 10-bit 4K H.265 video on the fly. It is equipped with one drive bay that is capable of natively supporting 3.5″ SATA hard drives, as well as 2.5″ SATA hard drives and SSDs with a drive bay adapter. Using its single drive bay, this NAS will allow you to store and share a large number of files, including videos, music, photos, and documents with up to 2048 user accounts. The DS118 runs on Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, which is a browser-based operating system that helps to simplify managing your Synology NAS. Its CPU is a 1.4 GHz Realtek RTD1296 Quad-Core and its 1GB of DDR4 RAM allows frequently-used files and applications to be quickly accessed. The NAS is capable of achieving sequential read speeds of up to 113 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 112 MB/s, while a dedicated
DDR3 has arrived. New chipsets and processors from AMD® and Intel® now support memory operating at 1600MT/s (aka 1600MHz). DDR3-1600 memory has a module classification of PC3-12800, which effectively means the peak data rate of the module is 12.8GB/sec (see table). That’s about a 17% improvement on memory bandwidth over DDR3-1333.
The VS960HD VisualStation Surveillance Station from Synology allows you to connect up to two displays and supports up to 96 IP cameras and 4K UHD resolution. This device connects to a router via its RJ45 Ethernet port, and pairs with your Synology NAS running Surveillance Station 8.0.2 or above, enabling you to monitor and control your IP cameras without a computer. Connect a mouse, keyboard, or joystick to the USB 2.0 ports for complete control, including PTZ control. Via the USB 3.0 port, recordings and snapshots can be stored on a USB drive, which is available for purchase separately. This device supports H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, and MJPEG codecs for high-quality playback. It has no mechanical moving parts, so it is resistant to vibration and hardware failure. It comes with an RJ45 LAN cable to connect to your router and a VESA mounting kit which enables the device to be mounted on a wall or on the back of a screen.
